SirBillTaylor2023-10-10Verified Great place to meet up! My long term friend & I meet here to discuss the progress (or otherwise) of my autobiography! I'm Pleasington & he's Blackpool so it's pretty much equidistant! The location suits, plenty of parking - lunch time mtg! We had soft drinks & butty type food & then cheesecake. Cheesecake a bit too fancy not down to Earth enough for me! All staff friendly & helpful! £45 with tip! We'll be back!!! Connorsssss842023-10-09Verified Fantastic birthday tea Went for a birthday meal with my little fam and parents. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was top notch specially Emily, Kal and Lucy. Everything I asked for was delivered. I can definitely see ourselves coming again ??? ColinG572023-09-14Verified Excellent food and nice atmosphere at the Kingfisher! We had an excellent meal, food was really hot and quite good. Service was very prompt and a good range of real/ keg ales to boot. We came here previously about six years ago and it was poor. But today a big improvement, popular place with nice atmosphere- will definitely return. vintageclaret6452023-09-11Verified Dogs allowed throughout the restaurant!!! Went for Sunday lunch, nice welcome. Seated in the lounge next to a couple with a dog. We moved to another area away from the dog as I don’t think it right that dogs should be allowed in a restaurant , and the carpet stunk of stale dog hairs etc. Asked for a table for two in the restaurant where it was dog free. Told that dogs were allowed everywhere in the restaurant !! I cannot understand why dogs are allowed in restaurants where food is served, totally unhygienic and a very sad reflection on the standards of the owners. Absolutely abhorrent that one should be dining with a smelly dog in the restaurant. Disgusting place. We left in disgust. Pillsontour2023-08-07Verified Good Food and Warm Welcome Typical family venue in lots of ways. Menu catering for children and offering typical pub grub choices. The two main dishes we chose were good and nicely presented. Staff very friendly. A busy Sunday and service was slow but we understood that because we hadn't booked. Angela P2023-08-02Verified Could have been better This is a large restaurant with lots of seating and outside play for children. The service was good and the food came quickly however the food quality was a bit hit and miss. 3 out of the 5 meals we ordered weren’t great (tasteless - salt and Pepper chicken, chewy - chicken burger, slop on a plate - cheese and onion pie) . My husbands gammon was undercooked- but they did remove and provide a full fresh meal with a sincere apology and he did enjoy it after that. Only my son enjoyed his hot dog! After reading the reviews I’m hoping it was just a bad day! Claire2023-07-16Verified Great Sunday Roast Dinner We’ve been here a couple of times for food and have really enjoyed it. Today we tried the Sunday Roast If I’m honest I was waiting to be disappointed as usually when a roast dinner is platted it’s luke warm and tasteless- this was certainly not and we was not disappointed!! We had the Chefs platter which had Beef, Turkey and Ham on along with roast potatoes, mashed potato, stuffing, yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and cauliflower with cheese and gravy. It was served hot and was so tasty!! Fresh vegetables, homemade yorkies, creamy mash, and meat was cooked to perfection. Worth every penny, we’ll be back!!! colinmezzo2023-07-08Verified Great place Great local pub, perfect if travelling towards Blackpool. Extensive menu, good value, great food! Staff are really polite, attentive and helpful. Dog friendly too, with water and treats available on request. Definitely with a visit, a good experience. Mary W2023-07-06Verified Gravy like water ..... There was 4 of us all had different meals ....all quite good ....the only thing lacking on my plate was a really good thick gravy ..........it looked like dishwater and very watery not the way I like gravy to be ......otherwise all good ......... Julie L2023-07-03Verified Avoid the kingfisher at KIRKHAM disgusting food Avoid this place!!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting food at an expensive price I had the Sunday roast All frozen food and packet mash Paid extra £2.50 for cauliflower cheese it was shocking, just a bowl of of cauliflower with a watery sauce poured onto it And the gravy was so watery it was ridiculous Waited 50 mins to be served this awful meal as well I looked around and I could see other people very frustrated also with the extremely long wait AVOID AT ALL COSTS DISGUSTING FOOD THE KINGFISHER AT KIRKHAMLoad more
